Ne-Yo Trades Britney For Nicole

Friday, August 31st, 2007

The other day R&B superstar Ne-Yo paid a visit to On Air with Ryan Seacrest and got to the bottom of the so called beef between him and Britney Spears. You may have heard about Ne-Yo working on Britney’s comeback album, but a collaboration now seems very unlikely. Ne-Yo told Ryan Seacrest that he wrote 6 to 8 songs intended for Britney Spears, which she loved, but once she shaved her head and went into rehab, he lost all contact with Brit and her management. After not hearing from them for months, he played a few songs for Nicole Scherzinger (Pussycat Dolls) and her people purchased two of the songs intended for Brit. Now, Britney is said to be very upset with Ne-Yo. I personally think it was a great decision. Run far away from that train wreck of an album waiting to happen, Ne-Yo!!

Two New Ne-Yo Videos

Sunday, August 26th, 2007

Ne-Yo has just finished shooting two new music videos that will be released soon. The first video is for his soon to be released new single “Can We Chill’ off of his Platinum album “Because Of You”. The second is the video for “Hate That I Love You” which is his duet with Rihanna off of her hot album “Good Girl Gone Bad”. Look out for both videos, I’m sure they’ll be great!

Sarah Connor ft. Ne-Yo

Saturday, August 18th, 2007

I was going through my favorites on Youtube and I found a video that I wanted to post. It’s singer Sarah Connor and Ne-Yo’s rendition of the classic song “Sexual Healing” by Marvin Gaye. This video came out a few months ago, but I know a lot of people still haven’t seen it. I’m not sure why Ne-Yo doesn’t appear in the video (smart move, Ne-Yo), but it’s still nice to hear him on the song.

Ne-Yo No Longer Def Jam’s Go-To Man?

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

For years, Ne-Yo has been Def Jam’s favorite in-house writer as well as one of its most successful artists, but it seems Def Jam has a new double threat. New artist, and Ne-Yo label mate The-Dream, seems to be following down the very successful path first blazed by Ne-Yo. In addition to writing for some of Def Jam’s hottest artists, (he wrote Rihanna’s #1 smash hit “Umbrella”) The-Dream will soon release his own album. If you’re worried about Ne-Yo, don’t be. Ne-Yo is currently promoting his second album, as well as writing new music for comeback albums by Whitney Houston and Britney Spears. He’s also working on Nicole Scherzinger’s (Pussycat Dolls) debut album and will be featured on Rihanna’s upcoming single “Hate That I Love You”.
